The Program:
The Read Aloud Program is a direct, family-focused initiative designed to bring communities together by encouraging parents to read aloud to their children daily. The program provides the resources needed to help families spend quality time together, share great books, and build a lifelong love of literature, exchanging technology time for reading time.
Our Core Goals for 'Reading Aloud' are:

Parental Involvement: A student's success relies heavily on family support. Brown Girl Woke strongly encourages parents to help their children with reading, pronunciation, and completing the reading packages. To support this, mandatory workshops for parents are offered once a month for a full year.
