Announcement: Support our Scholarship Program
While BGW stands for Women Empowerment we are open to male participants and quite enough we have many young males who are part of our University club at USP, led also by a male student and another one of our BGW Executive members, Victory Tamalelagi. Having male involvement in our clubs and organization gives opportunity for young men in our society to also create awareness for others.
Male participation has been very strong throughout the year and we have seen much growth as our these young men take time to learn and administer value to cause, by understanding young women and providing support for them which we feel is an important factor for society is mutual understanding and support amongst the people.

Our summer program this year with our young men has been about volunteering and learning from non-profit’s that are doing youth work for teens and children. The young men of BGW had the chance to participate in a program for troubled teens under the Teen Challenge program. This along with workshops with children from our after school program at Safata Primary School, Mulivai. Also they participated in SSAB’s reading program during Literacy Week where they read to the children and helped them learn more about literacy.
We are extremely proud of how our young men in BGW, and this is an initiative we will continue to draw attention to and continue to have our young men serve the community in a way of significance and value also to young women of our community.
