Announcement: Support our Scholarship Program

Formation of BGW USP & NUS

Following our first Conference in January this year collaborating with Sisters United NZ, came our establishment of NGW University Clubs at The National University of Samoa and The University of the South Pacific, Alafua Campus. These clubs were developed to present a safe space for young university students to gather together, share and support one another.

Club meetings are held once a week and we have a regular collective range of programs and workshops that provide source of leadership skills, team building capacity. This is an opportunity to help build our young and prepare them for the future, a future they will soon rise up to lead.

Many of our programs are in regard to various matters existing in our community and all over the Pacific, such as Domestic and Sexual Violence, Climate Change, Education, Health, Mental Health, Politics, Social issues. We address these matters through awareness, building up young minds to understand their surroundings, their potential, and value of their voice to be projected in discussing these situations.

“This is an opportunity to help build our young and prepare them for the future, a future they will soon rise up to lead.”

We also provide a platform for youth in Performing Arts, we believe that all talents and gifts matter and are to be valued, recognized especially when expressed in such ways that adhere to happenings within the community. A way to keep youth away from crime, drugs and other trouble. We host monthly talent showcases for local artists and we provide a variety of opportunities from workshops with overseas artists and groups, music collaborations and production, as well as concert performances which over the year has been a great source of growth for our young local artists under our programs called The Dream Squad.

These are all ongoing initiatives we have based under our organization clubs, which we hope to continue to see grow and flourish into more in years to come, and we encourage youth to be well aware and be involved in developing a positive environment for themselves and others.
